Set just 400 metres from Garyu Sanso Villa, まろや四季 features accommodation in Ōzu with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. It is situated 700 metres from Ozu Castle and provides luggage storage space. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.Wonderful location in a very historic place with an outstanding castle and super cool garden estates. We arrived by taxi from the train station, ask the folks at the train station convenience store to call you a taxi. At Maroyashiki, all rooms are upstairs but this was not a problem. We were in the twin room which has great beds and quiet comforters. It’s mostly very quiet except for the occasional motorcycle at night. We were the only guests for two nights so we had the whole place to ourselves. You will need to go downstairs to the toilet at night but it’s okay. Good clean shower. Keep in mind that if you pet the kitty, he will follow you everywhere! No kitchen but there is a microwave and water dispenser in the lobby. This is a 110 year old Japanese house that you must accept its charm, it is a work in progress. Please visit nearby Group Wheel cars and bar, if you enjoy old motorcycles and Japanese cars. Be sure to eat lunch there, it’s fabulous for the price!
